7th pay commission: The new financial year has started. On the first day of the financial year i.e. April 1, the Assam government has given a big gift to its state government employees and pensioners. The Assam government has increased the dearness allowance for the employees by 4%.
After this increase, the dearness allowance of the employees has gone up to 42%. Similarly, dearness relief to pensioners has also been increased by 4%. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has given information about this increase in allowance. This hike is for January 1 to June 30.

The Central Government had announced: Earlier, the Central Government had also announced an increase in the dearness allowance of the employees. On March 24, the Union Cabinet had increased Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief by four percent to 42 percent. This will benefit 47.58 lakh central government employees and 69.76 lakh pensioners. Due to increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief, the government exchequer will be affected by Rs 12,815.60 crore annually.
