Apart from this, the salary of 5600 cabin crew will also be increased. Apart from this, the company has also announced a major change in the structure of its cabin crew. Permanent and Contractual Cabin Crew will be divided into four segments, which include Trainee Cabin Crew, Cabin Crew, Cabin Senior and Cabin Executive.
Promotion-Benefit of Allowance as well
- The company has also decided to increase the rate of flying hours of pilots. Additional allowance of pilots going to training will also be increased and flying allowance per hour will also be increased.
- It has also been decided to double the stipend of the trainee staff and to give additional reward to the staff who have been working for a longer period of time. The company has extended the fixed term contract of 800 pilots till the age of 58 years.
- Apart from the increment, two posts will also be added, which will be Air India Junior First Officer and Senior Commander.

After this decision, the minimum salary for a pilot can be Rs 50,000 and the maximum can be Rs 8.5 lakh per month. This salary will be decided by the number of flying hours put in by the pilot. Whereas the minimum salary for a cabin crew has been fixed at Rs 25,000 to Rs 78,000 per month.
Know whose salary will increase by how much
- According to media reports, the Junior First Officer during training in different categories of pilots will get Rs 50,000 per month. Junior First Officers will be given Rs 2.35 lakh per month after line release up to 1 year.
- Rs 1,500 or Rs 1,950 for a junior pilot flying hours between 0 hours to 90+ hours, Rs 2,900 to Rs 3,770 for an officer, Rs 4,300 to 5,590 for a captain (SFO), Rs 6,500 to 8,450 for a commander and Rs 7,100 for a senior commander 9,230 to Rs.
Commanders and senior commanders get Rs 75,000 per month and pilots of other categories get Rs 25,000 per month. - On joining the cabin crew, the trainee will get Rs 25,000 per month (stipend for fresher crew) and Rs 30,000 per month (stipend for experienced crew) respectively. - Cabin crew will get flying allowance ranging from Rs 375 to Rs 750 for flying hours between zero to 90+ hours. Senior cabin crew will get Rs 475 to Rs 950 and executive cabin crew will get Rs 525 to Rs 1,050.
