The results of both 10th-12th classes can be released in the next week or the week ahead. It is believed that the 10th and 12th exam results can be declared by the second week of May.

CBSE Exam 2023, CBSE 2023-24 Exam : Important information for CBSE students. On one hand, after the completion of 10th 12th examination, students are waiting for the result. For the same 2023-24, many new updates have been issued by CBSE regarding the examination. Along with this, CBSE is likely to introduce various changes in its assessment practice to test critical thinking and application skills.

The National Education Policy 2020 is preparing itself to enhance the creativity of the students to actively face the challenge of 21st century. More focus is being given on developing critical competence in the students. For this, many important steps have been taken by the board towards implementation. From competency-centred education assessment in schools to development of exemplary resources for skilled teachers and students, continuous capacity building of teaching is also being taken care of.

Emphasis on aptitude based questions

In the CBSE evaluation criteria 2023-24, there will be a lot of emphasis on merit-based questions. Along with this, for class IX and X, at least 50% merit-oriented questions will be decided on source based integrated questions including MCQ/Case based questions and other types of questions. In addition 20% multiple choice response type questions will be included.

Along with this, preparations are being made to include 30% answer type questions as well. According to the existing pattern, it can be considered as short northern and long northern. For class 11th and 12th, 40% questions will be aptitude based while 20% will be response type questions. Whereas 40% constructed response questions will also be included.

Marking scheme released with sample paper

Let us inform that earlier the marking scheme including sample paper has been released by CBSE. Earlier the board used to release the sample paper in the month of July for the students to prepare for the board exam but for more clarity and time these sample papers have been launched before the session.

The sample paper covers all types of questions which can be asked by the students in the upcoming board exams. Students will get more time to prepare for the exam as well as a comprehensive approach and students will be able to prepare well in more time by looking at the pattern and type of question asked in concept including paper pattern.

Along with this, it will help the students to understand the weightage in a particular subject. More focus can be given on the questions coming in the examinations. Students can download the sample paper and marking scheme by visiting the official website of CBSE.

Let us tell you that the CBSE class 10th and 12th exams were conducted from the month of February till the month of April. The examinations for both class X and class XII started on 15th April. The same 10th examination was conducted till 21 March while the 12th examination ended on 5 April. A total of more than 38 lakh students appeared in the 10th and 12th examination. In which 21 lakh 86 thousand 940 students have appeared in class 10th while 16 lakh 96 thousand 770 students have appeared in class 12th.
