State employees whose pay scale or pay structure (seventh pay scale revision) has been revised from January 1, 2016 on January 18, 2017, will start getting the benefit of 42 percent dearness allowance from January 1, 2023.

Government Employees DA Hike 2023: There is good news for the government employees-pensioners of Jharkhand. The Hemant Soren government of the state has given a big gift to lakhs of employees. The state government has increased the dearness allowance of the employees-pensioners by 4 per cent, after which the dearness allowance of the state employees has increased from 38 per cent to 42 per cent. The new rates will be applicable from January 1. The increased DA will be paid in May along with the salary for the month of April.

Employees will get the benefit of 42 percent DA

In fact, in the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Hemant Soren on Thursday, the proposal to increase the dearness allowance of the employees by 4 per cent has been approved. Cabinet Coordination Secretary Vandana Dadel said after the meeting that the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren In the meeting, it has been decided to increase the rate of DA, due to the increase, the burden of Rs 441.52 crore per year will be imposed on the exchequer. The additional installment of dearness allowance to the employees will be effective from January 1, 2023. After the government of Rajasthan, Haryana, Assam and Bihar, the dearness allowance of the employees of Jharkhand has also increased to 42%.

New rates applicable from January 1, 2023

In the cabinet meeting, the increase in the rates of dearness allowance has been approved from January 1, 2023 in the revised pay scale (seventh central pay scale) with effect from January 1, 2016. State employees whose pay scale or pay structure (seventh pay scale revision) has been revised from January 1, 2016 on January 18, 2017, will start getting the benefit of 42 percent dearness allowance from January 1, 2023. This increase is as per the approved formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Increase in honorarium

It will benefit 19,3000 lakh employees and pensioners. The same cabinet has also increased the honorarium of guest faculty, temporary and class-based faculty employees against the sanctioned strength of assistant professors in technical colleges, universities and other affiliated colleges. The state government increased the remuneration to Rs 57,500 per month from the earlier cap of Rs 30,000 per month.
