The state government has decided to declare May 23-24 as a holiday on the occasion of the martyrdom day of 5th Sikh Guru Arjun Dev Ji and Maharishi Kashyap Jayanti. During this, there will be a holiday in the schools as well. Voluntary leave
Under the order, employees working in all government offices and schools in the state can take voluntary leave under this government announcement. The state government has announced to celebrate it as an optional holiday in departments, boards, corporations and educational institutions. Earlier it was declared as an optional holiday according to the Haryana government’s calendar, but now the Haryana government has declared a holiday. .
According to the orders issued by the Chief Secretary, both the days will be Restricted Holiday (RH) on account of Guru Arjun Dev Ji’s martyrdom day and Maharishi Kashyap Jayanti as per Schedule-II list of restricted holidays in the state.
