Big relief has been given by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to the ex-employees and pensioners receiving pension and family pension under the recommendations of the Pay Committee 2008. His dearness allowance has been increased by 9 percent. Orders for this were issued late on Wednesday night.
Salary will increase so much
The pensioners getting the sixth pay scale will now get the benefit of 221 per cent dearness relief instead of 212 per cent. Their DR has been increased. Along with this, a big increase will be seen in the salary of the retired employees. Their salary can be seen to increase from Rs.7000 to Rs.20000.
They will get benefit
In this case, orders for increase in dearness relief have been issued by Special Secretary, Finance Department, Neel Ratan Kumar. Retired employees will get the benefit of increase in dearness allowance from January 2023. Along with this, they will also be paid arrears of 4 months. The benefit of this increase will be applicable to such pensioners of educational institutions aided by state funds under education primary education, who have been allowed pension/family pension similar to government pensioners.
Additional burden of Rs 200 crore every month
Earlier, giving great relief to lakhs of employees of Uttar Pradesh, the Uttar Pradesh government had approved the proposal of 4 percent increase in their dearness allowance and dearness relief. This increase has been implemented from January 1, 2023. Pensioners including 19 lakh employees will be benefited by this. This will see an additional burden of Rs 200 crore every month on the exchequer.

Along with the 4 percent increase in the dearness allowance of the employees receiving the Seventh Pay Commission, the dearness allowance was also increased at the rate of 9 percent for the employees and pensioners receiving the sixth pay scale.
