Light rain with dust storm is likely over Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Odisha till June 8. There is a possibility of severe heat wave in Bihar, West Bengal, North East Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Sikkim, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.
IMD Alert Today: The weather is changing all over the country. On one hand, the weather has become pleasant due to storm and rain in many states, while on the other hand, the increase in temperature along with heat in many states has made people miserable. Today, a warning has been issued regarding rain in 8 states. The monsoon is expected to reach Kerala by June 8. Due to this, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Kerala on June 6 and fishermen in sea areas have also been asked to be alert for the next 5 days.
According to IMD, today there may be a strong thunderstorm with rain in parts of Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. An alert has been issued for rain in 14 districts including Alwar, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Dhaulpur, Karauli in Rajasthan, while very light rain is expected in Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Bageshwar areas of Uttarakhand.
Apart from this, rain may also occur in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh. The weather is expected to remain dry in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Bengal, Odisha, Telangana. A heatwave alert has been issued for West Bengal including Bihar, Jharkhand.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, light rain with dust storm is likely over Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Odisha till June 8. There is a possibility of severe heat wave in Bihar, West Bengal, North East Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Sikkim, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh. Rain is also expected over Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
Heatwave warning has been issued in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal till June 8. Heatwave also likely over West Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast Jharkhand, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. Heatwave is expected over Vidarbha from June 6 to June 8 and over East Uttar Pradesh from June 7 and June 8.
Heavy rains may occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and Andaman & Nicobar Islands today. Heavy rains are expected over Kerala, Lakshadweep, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh during the next five days.
According to Skymet, during the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells are very likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and Kerala, Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka, South Coast of Odisha and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Light to moderate rain with dust storm may occur in some areas of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and MP. Heavy rains may occur over Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka, Western Himalayan region, South Coastal Odisha and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
What does the Meteorological Department’s forecast say?
According to weather forecast agency Skymet, another Western Disturbance is likely to reach Western Himalayas tonight. Currently multiple systems are active simultaneously. A cyclonic circulation is over Southwest Rajasthan and adjoining areas. And a cyclonic circulation lies over South Chhattisgarh and adjoining Telangana at lower levels. The same north-south low pressure line is going from north Bihar via Jharkhand to the area of cyclonic winds over southern Chhattisgarh, due to which many states across the country are recording rains with strong winds these days.
