IMD Alert: The rains in the capital Delhi last evening have once again relieved people from the humid heat. On the other hand, after the Biparjoy storm on June 15, there has been a change in the weather of Delhi-NCR.

The Meteorological Department had also predicted rain with thunder and lightning from June 16 to 21. Even today, the Delhi Meteorological Department had already issued an alert regarding rain in many areas of Delhi. The maximum temperature this week is expected to be 39 degrees while the minimum temperature is expected to remain up to 27 degrees.

Rain in these areas in the next 24 hours

At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rain in some areas of Delhi, Haryana, UP and Rajasthan. In Delhi, there is a possibility of rain in RK Puram, Defense Colony, Vasant Kunj, Hauz Khas, Malviya Nagar, Mehrauli, Chhatarpur in the next 1 hour. There is a possibility of rain in Haryana’s Rohtak, Mattanhail, Jhajjar, Sohna, Aurangabad, Hodal. There is a possibility of rain in Nandgaon, Barsana of Uttar Pradesh and Jhunjhunu Tijara of Rajasthan.

Know how the weather will be ahead

The Meteorological Department has reported the weather from June 17 to 23 in NCR including Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning between June 17 and 19. It will be partly cloudy from June 20 to 23 and in the meanwhile there is a possibility of rain. Talking about the temperature, meanwhile the maximum temperature can go up to 39 degrees while the minimum temperature can go up to 29 degrees.

According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Delhi is expected to remain around 38 to 39 degrees for the next few days. The IMD has said that Delhi-NCR is likely to witness light to moderate rainfall for the next three days. Along with this, winds are also expected to blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.

When will the monsoon enter Delhi?

For your information, let us tell you that usually the normal onset date of monsoon in Delhi is 27th June. TOI had earlier reported that the IMD’s data for the last 10 years shows that monsoon hits Delhi mostly between June 4 and July 6. Between 1960 and 2022, the monsoon hit the capital 33 times in July and 30 times in June. Along with this, it was predicted earlier that this year the monsoon will arrive in Delhi around July 10 to 12.
