Byju’s, one of the world’s largest Ed-tech companies, is in a bad condition. Even after the massive retrenchment, the company’s troubles are not taking its name. As per reports, Byju’s has ordered some of its employees to vacate the largest office in Bengaluru. This thing has come out at a time when it is being discussed in full swing that the company has not been able to pay the PF of a large number of employees in the month of June. Let me tell you, even before this the company had missed paying the PF of the employees.
Which office is being made vacant?
According to a Money Control report, employees working at Byju’s office located at Kalyani Tech Park in Bengaluru have been told to either work from home or shift to other centers from July 23. This office of the company was of 5.58 lakh square feet. According to reports, the company has also vacated two floors of the nine-storey office located in Prestige Tech Park.
Talking to Money Control on this whole episode, Byju’s spokesperson has said that the company has an office of 30 lakh square feet across the country. The decision to increase or decrease office space is taken on the basis of business priorities and working policies.
