The Meteorological Department has said in its latest forecast, ‘There may be heavy rains in western Uttar Pradesh from July 31 to August 4. There are chances of rain in eastern Rajasthan till August 2. Talking about Uttarakhand, there is a possibility of heavy rains during August 1 to 4. In its report, the IMD has issued heavy rain warnings for Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Chandigarh on August 2-3. Apart from this, it is expected to rain at different places for the next five days.

Monsoon will take a turn in Bihar

The farmers of Bihar are troubled by the indifference of monsoon. Drought crisis is looming large in the entire state. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has said that there may be torrential rains in Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha from July 32 to August 4. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain in West Bengal till August 2. It may rain in Sikkim on August 3.

According to the IMD forecast, it will continue to rain in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Light to heavy rain very likely at isolated places during next five days. Apart from this, the IMD has said that Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Majirom and Tripura may receive torrential rains from August 1 to 3.

Heavy rains in some parts of Rajasthan

Light to moderate rainfall was recorded in many parts of Rajasthan during the last 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, there was heavy rain at some places. Between 8.30 am on Saturday and 8.30 am on Sunday, Dantaramgarh in Sikar recorded maximum rainfall of 17 cm, while Nawalgarh received 10 cm of rain. Bamanwas (Sawai Madhopur) and Udaipurwati (Jhunjhunu) received 10 cm each, Shrimadhopur (Sikar) nine cm, Chomu (Jaipur) and Hanumangarh seven cm and other places received one to six cm of rain. The department has expressed the possibility of continuation of rain in many areas of the state during the next 24 hours.
