While giving festive gifts to the central government employees in Kerala and Maharashtra, the government has given instructions to release the amount of salary, bonus and pension in advance. The Central Government has taken this decision due to the upcoming Onam and Ganesh Chaturthi festivals.
In a circular dated August 14, the Ministry of Finance states that in view of the Onam and Ganpati festival, the government has decided that the salaries, wages, pensions of all central government employees in the states of Kerala and Maharashtra will be given ahead of time for the month of August 2023. . At the same time, on the occasion of Onam, bonus will also be issued to the employees in Kerala.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the money for the month of August to be released in September 2023 will reach the account of central employees in Kerala on 25 August 2023. At the same time, the salary of September to the central employees of Maharashtra state will be released on 27 September 2023. In view of Onam, the August salary of central government employees in Kerala can be drawn on August 25, 2023. Pension of all Central Government pensioners in Kerala can also be disbursed by Banks, PAOs on this date.
The September salary of central government employees in Maharashtra can be withdrawn on 27 September 2023. The Finance Ministry said that the salaries of Central Government industrial employees serving in the states of Kerala and Maharashtra may also be disbursed as per the dates given above.
The Ministry of Finance said that the concerned Ministries/Departments are requested to immediately bring these instructions to the notice of their offices located in the State of Kerala and Maharashtra for necessary action. The ministry said that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is requested to bring these instructions to the notice of all payment branches of all banks located in both the states for necessary action.
