List of 19 RBI regional office for 2000 note exchange: If you still have Rs 2000 notes then there is no need to worry. To deposit Rs 2000 notes in bank accounts, they can be deposited or exchanged in 19 regional offices of RBI, RBI Issue Office.
The last date for depositing or exchanging Rs 2000 bank note was 7 October 2023. In such a situation, you cannot deposit or exchange notes in banks. But, you can still deposit and exchange your Rs 2000 notes in 13 regional offices of RBI. The special thing is that if you cannot reach the regional offices then you can also send the note through post office.
According to the notification issued by RBI on September 30, 2023, if you still have Rs 2000 notes, then there is no need to panic. To deposit Rs 2000 bank notes in bank accounts, one can deposit them in 19 regional offices of RBI, RBI Issue Office. The notes can be exchanged by individuals and institutions at 19 RBI issue offices up to a limit of Rs 20,000 at a time.
At the same time, any person can send Rs 2000 notes through India Post by addressing any of the 19 issue offices of RBI for credit in his bank accounts. Note that any such exchange or credit will have to comply with valid identification regulations set by RBI.
