Yogi Govt Gift To Employees: After the Central Government, before Diwali, the Yogi Government of UP is also preparing to give gifts to the state employees and pensioners. The process of increasing Dearness Allowance / Dearness Relief (DA / DR) of existing employees and pensioners has been started by the Finance Department.
DA/DR will be implemented from July 1 after cabinet approval. 12 lakh teachers/employees and 7 lakh pensioners of the state will get the benefit of four percent increased DA. Employees will also be given arrears from July 1 to September.
DA will increase to 46 percent
Like every year, this time too the Uttar Pradesh government has made preparations to announce DA hike at the time of Dussehra, before Diwali. At present, DA/DR is being paid to the employees of UP at the rate of 42 percent. After the increase of four percent, it will increase to 46 percent.
Let us tell you that DA hike is announced twice a year by the government. The first DA hike is implemented every year from January 1 and the second from July 1. Sources claim that the increased DA of the employees will be paid along with the arrears in the salary for the month of October.
Three months’ arrears will also be available.
Earlier on Wednesday, Modi Cabinet had announced 4 percent DA / DR hike for 49 lakh employees and more than 65 lakh pensioners. After this, DA of central employees also increased to 46 percent.
While giving information about the decisions of the cabinet, the government said that apart from 4 percent DA, it was also decided to give 78 days bonus to the railway employees. The increased DA will be paid to the employees in the October salary with an arrear of three months.
