Payment through UPI has started happening in every corner of the country. The number of payments through UPI is increasing every day. Not only this, it has started being used in the country as well as abroad.
Meanwhile, while making payment through UPI, it may be possible for money to be transferred to the wrong UPI. If money is transferred to wrong UPI while making UPI payment, this amount can be recovered.
For this you will have to complain first. PhonePe, Paytm or Google Pay, whichever way you have made the payment. You will have to lodge a complaint by calling its customer care number.
After this the person will also have to file a complaint through the Dispute Redressal Mechanism tab on the NPCI portal. You will have to lodge a complaint by filling some information on this portal.
Here you have to enter the problem, transaction details, mail ID and registered mobile number. Here you will see the option of wrong transfer account. Now you have to submit bank account statement and complaint.
If the problem is not resolved even here, then you can go to the bank or even lodge a complaint with the Banking Ombudsman.
