For this, UIDAI has shared a post on its Twitter handle. Which includes how to update Aadhaar and how to check update history. UIDAI has given all the information through a tutorial video.
For this, you have to go to https://uidai.gov.in/ and click on the ‘Aadhaar Update History’ link to check the history of all the updates you have made in your Aadhaar description. These include demographic name, address, gender, email ID, mobile number and biometric. (Photos, fingerprints and iris scans).
Apart from this, you can change the address online in the base sitting at home. Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) provides the facility of updating the address to the card holders. You can easily update the address online in your Aadhaar card. For this, you have to get an OTP on the registered mobile number, log in and scan a photo of the address proof.
Know how to update
- The cardholder must first visit the UIDAI website https://uidai.gov.in/.
- Here the cardholder has to go to the My Adhaar tab and click on Update your adhaar and then Update your address online.
- After this a new page will open on the screen. Here the cardholder has to click on the Proceed update address tab.
- Now a new page will open on the screen again. Here the cardholder has to enter his Aadhaar number and captcha and click on Send OTP option.
- Now the cardholder will get an OTP on his registered number. This OTP has to be entered and clicked on Login. (To get OTP, an active mobile number needs to be registered with Aadhaar card)
- Now the cardholder will see the option of Update address via address proof. The cardholder has to select it and enter his new address.
- Now the cardholder will have to upload a color photo of the relevant documents through mobile or scan it. Further processing will have to be completed.
- After this, the application for updating Aadhaar sent by the cardholder will be verified. After this, the new address will be updated on the Aadhaar card. The new Aadhaar card will be mailed to the cardholder in a few days.
