Aadhaar Free Update Deadline Extend: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the free Aadhaar update of documents by 3 months from September 14, 2023 to December 14, 2023. According to an office memorandum issued by UIDAI on September 6, 2023, ‘To encourage more residents to update their documents in Aadhaar, free of cost update of their documents in Aadhaar through myAadhaar portal till 14.09.2023’ It was decided to provide provision.
It further said, ‘Based on the positive response of the residents, it has been decided to extend this facility by 3 months i.e. from 15.09.2023 to 14.12.2023. Accordingly, the facility of document update through myAadhaar portal https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ will continue to be free of cost till 14.12.2023.
What is the purpose of UIDAI?
Actually, UIDAI is urging 10 year old Aadhaar holders to update the information with the latest information. According to the UIDAI website, ‘Please update Aadhaar to continue maintaining the accuracy of demographic information. To update it, upload your proof of identity and proof of address documents.’
