How to update Aadhaar card online (Aadhaar Card Update Process)
- First of all you have to visit the official website of UIDAI.
- Now log in using your Aadhaar number and registered mobile number. To log in, you will have to enter the OTP received on your mobile.
- After this, go to the ‘Aadhaar Update’ option and check your profile.
- Now select the details you want to update.
- After this, tick the checkbox ‘I verify that the above details are correct’ in the dropdown menu.
- Now upload all the documents related to Aadhaar update and submit.
How much charge will have to be paid for updating Aadhaar (Aadhaar Updation Charge)
After September 14, you will have to pay a charge even for updating Aadhaar online. Till now, you have to pay an update fee only for updating Aadhaar card offline. According to UIDAI, a charge of Rs 50 is levied for updating Aadhaar card.
Aadhaar users can update address proof, date of birth and name etc. online. Biometric and photo updates will be done offline only.
