Aadhaar Pan Card Link: The Government of India has deactivated 11.50 crore PAN cards across the country. Because they were not linked to the Aadhar card by the stipulated time. Among those Rs 11.50 crore, if your PAN card has also been deactivated then do not worry, you can activate it easily.
However, for this you will have to pay a fine. CBDT i.e. Central Board of Directors has informed that June 30, 2023 was the last date for linking PAN and Aadhar card, after which 11.5 crore PAN cards across the country have been deactivated.
More than 70 crore PAN card users
Let us tell you that at present there are about 70 crore PAN card users in India, out of which 57 crore people have linked their PAN card with Aadhaar. But there are still 12 crore people who have not been able to complete this process. Out of those 12 crore, 11.5 crore PAN cards have been deactivated by the government.
Can activate with fine
If your card has been deactivated and you want to reactivate it, then you will have to pay a fine of Rs 1,000, only then your card will be reactivated. To get a new PAN card, you will have to pay only Rs 91. That means the government is charging more than 10 times the fine.
What will be the problems if PAN card is not linked?
The question might be coming in your mind that what problems will arise due to not linking PAN and Aadhaar? So see, you will not be able to pay income tax refund, you will not be able to open a demat account, and you will not be able to buy and sell in mutual funds or share market. Apart from this, you will have to pay more tax on buying a car or house.
Neither will FD and savings accounts be opened in the bank. Therefore, there are many problems, if you have not yet linked your PAN card with Aadhaar, then do it as soon as possible. If the PAN card has been deactivated, then get it reactivated by paying Rs. 1000.
How to know whether PAN is linked to Aadhaar or not

So type UIDPAN to 567678 from your phone number, enter the 12 digit Aadhaar number, space and then enter the 10 digit PAN card number and send it.
