MG Motor India is planning to launch its cheapest electric car in the country. It will be a small size car which will cost very less in India and will be able to drive up to 150 KM on a single charge. It is a two-door 4-seater car.

The environment of electric vehicles is changing very fast in India and in view of the rising petrol and diesel prices, customers are now turning to these vehicles.

MG Motor India is also selling electric vehicles in the country and the company is going to bring many more affordable electric cars to India which can fit in the budget of the customers.

After MG ZS EV, the new electric car company is going to launch very soon, which can be a small size car. According to media reports, the company is also considering launching a very affordable car in India. The codename of this car is MG E230.

two doors and four seats

This new electric car from MG will be much smaller in size, which comes with only two doors and has a seating arrangement for 4 people. The company can launch it in India by next year. The EV will measure 2,197 mm in length, 1,493 mm in width and 1,621 mm in height, while the wheelbase is 1,940 mm.

Overall, this car will be as big as the Maruti Alto in size. This car is very much liked in the Chinese market and this is the reason why the company is considering to launch it in India as well, keeping in view the economy-loving mood of Indian customers.

Comes with great features

The new electric car will come with ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and dual airbags at the front. Apart from this, the car can also get connected car technology. A 20 kW-R battery pack can be found here which gives the car a range of up to 150 km on a single charge.

It is being estimated that the price of the new MG EV will be less than Rs 10 lakh, which comes in the budget of the customers. With this price, it will become the cheapest electric car in India. Currently, the cheapest electric car in India is the Tata Tigor EV with an initial ex-showroom price of Rs 11.99 lakh.
