Air India Express: The dispute between the management and cabin crew members of Air India Express airline has reached the Labor Ministry. After this the company has received a show cause notice from the ministry.

Air India Express: Air India Express airline owned by Tata Group is once again in the news. The airline’s management and cabin crew members have come face to face. On receiving this complaint, the company has received a show cause notice from the Labor Ministry. According to sources, many cabin crew members of the airline are unhappy with the arrangement of room sharing.

He had complained about this to the management. After this this complaint was given to the Labor Ministry. Now the ministry has issued a notice to Air India Express and sought a reply. Tata Group had acquired this airline in January last year. After this the company implemented some new policies, which are still in the negotiation process.

Settlement process is going on under labor law

It has been alleged in this notice that at present the settlement process is going on under Labor Law. In such a situation, why has the airline company made changes in the service conditions? This is a violation of Section 33 of the Industrial Dispute Act, 1947. Under this section, if the negotiation process is going on in a company, then the service conditions cannot be changed.

Wrote a letter to Scindia last month 

Last month, Air India Express Employees Union (AIXEU) had written a letter to Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia explaining its problems. Many issues were raised in this but strong objection was raised to the instruction to share the room during the layover.

Besides, the cabin crew is also unhappy with the reduction in many other facilities. Earlier, during layover, cabin crew were given the facility to stay in five or four star hotels. But, now arrangements are made for two people to stay in one room.

Air India Express is making profit

The company spokesperson had told last month that AIX Connect is being integrated with Air India Express airline. Therefore, a slight change has been made in the policies. Many airlines adopt the policy of sharing rooms. Air India Express is making profit and AIX Connect (AirAsia India) is in loss. Both these airlines are currently in the process of merger.
