India’s largest airline Indigo is going to increase its aircraft fleet. It is in talks with Airbus and Boeing to buy about 500 aircraft.
Indigo: There is good news for the passengers traveling by plane in India. Soon, traveling by air is going to be very comfortable for them as two leading airlines of the country are going to include 500 new aircraft in their air fleet to make passenger services more accessible.
Indian aviation company Indigo is in talks with aircraft manufacturers Boeing and Airbus to induct a fleet of 500 new aircraft. According to sources, Indigo took this decision after the decision of its domestic rival Air India, in which it had talked about buying 500 aircraft.
Which planes will Indigo buy?
As of now, the largest airline company in the Indian aviation industry is exclusively purchasing narrow-body jets from Airbus. Confirming this last month, French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire had said that India’s company Indigo is very close to placing an order for several hundred aircraft to the European aircraft manufacturer.
According to a Reuters report, a representative of the airline Indigo said that they are in continuous talks with the airline manufacturers but they have not finalized anything yet. When asked about this from the aircraft manufacturer Boeing, he has not given any clear answer on this matter. Whereas Airbus said, it is always in touch with its potential buyers.
Such reports have been heard about such purchases among the airlines in the country ever since they have taken over the purchase of planes after the acquisition of Air India.
