If we talk about Delhi, you cannot keep more than 18 liters of alcohol at home in Delhi, which includes wine, alcopop or beer. At the same time, you cannot keep more than 9 liters of Indian or foreign rum, whiskey, vodka, gin at home. Also, you can take only one liter of any alcohol out of Delhi and a person coming from abroad can keep 2 liters of alcohol with him.
In Punjab, you can keep 2 bottles of foreign liquor made in India or 2 bottles of any size imported from abroad or a case of beer (650 ML) or 2 bottles of country liquor at home. If you want to keep more liquor at home, you will have to take a license for it, the charge for which is Rs 1,000 per year or Rs 10,000 for life.
In Haryana, you can keep 6 bottles of country made liquor and 18 bottles of foreign liquor made in India. But it is also divided on the basis of rum and vodka. If you want to keep more liquor than this, then you have to take a permission by paying Rs 200 per year or Rs 2000 for lifetime.
In Rajasthan, you can keep up to 12 bottles of IMFL, in which the rules are different for some liquor. There is a different rule for parties. In this, you have to get a license for the party by paying Rs 2000 and some more tax has to be paid for business parties.
In Goa, any person can keep 24 bottles of beer, 12 bottles of IMFL, 18 bottles of country liquor at home. Whereas, in Maharashtra, you can keep 8 bottles of liquor at your home.
In Uttar Pradesh too, you can keep up to 6 liters of alcohol with you. According to the rules, any person is allowed to purchase, transport and personal possession of 6 liters of alcohol. If you want to keep more alcohol at home, then you will have to take a license. For this license, you will have to pay 12 thousand rupees every year.
