Another shock to China, Nokia starts production of 5G devices in India

Telecom equipment company Nokia has started production of 5G devices in India. The company said that these devices are being shipped to countries that are in the advanced stage of introducing the next generation of technology. The introduction of 5G services in India will depend on the auction of spectrum, as telecom operators will need a favorable wireless frequency to launch 5G services in the country.

“We are among the first manufactures of 5G NR in India,” Sanjay Malik, Nokia’s senior vice president and head of the Indian market, said in a statement on Tuesday. Apart from this we have also produced Emmimo. This reflects our innovative manufacturing capability and confidence in India’s skills and talent for manufacturing the best equipment. With this, we will be able to help operators to start 5G service.

“The company said that Nokia has manufactured the first 5G new radio in India. Now the company is producing Nokia AirScale Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output (MMIMO) solution. The statement said that the new 5G Massive Mimo device is being manufactured at Nokia’s Chennai factory. These devices are being sent to countries that are in the advanced stage of starting a 5G network.

Let us know that at the ongoing India Mobile Congress 2020 in India, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has indicated the readiness to launch indigenous 5G technology in the second half of next year i.e. 2021.
