Apple’s iPhone 17 series is about 6 months away from launch. But even before the launch of the new series, leaks have revealed the possible changes to be found in the iPhone 17. From display upgrades to new chipsets, a lot of changes will be seen in it. In the last few weeks, many leaked information related to iPhone 17 has surfaced online. Let’s take a look at the leaked design, display, chipset, camera and battery details of the upcoming iPhone 17 series –

iPhone 17 design, camera, battery and display details

According to the leaks, the iPhone 17 will have a bigger display. If reports are to be believed, Apple is going to increase the screen size in the upcoming series from the current 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, which is of the iPhone 16 Pro. This step has been taken due to the increasing demand for bigger screens. Apart from this, the company can introduce ProMotion Technology in the iPhone 17 lineup. Which means that all the models in this series can get a refresh rate of 120Hz, making scrolling and video playback smoother. It is also being said that anti-reflective coating can be used to increase outdoor visibility, which will further improve the display experience.

For the Pro Max model, Apple will keep the 6.9-inch display, while the iPhone 17 Air can replace the iPhone Plus series and be launched with a 6.6-inch screen.

Design changes of iPhone 17 Pro model

The design of the standard iPhone 17 is expected to remain similar to the design of the current iPhone 16, but Apple may make some changes in the design for the Pro model. According to the leak, the iPhone 17 Air and iPhone 17 Pro are expected to get a new rectangular camera bar design.

Meanwhile, some reports are claiming that the iPhone 17 Air could be about 2mm thinner than the current iPhone 16 Pro, making it one of the thinnest models in the market. However, the dual camera setup and overall design of the standard iPhone 17 will be similar to the iPhone 16.

The iPhone 17 series will be equipped with the new A19 chipset

The iPhone 17 series is expected to get Apple’s new A19 chipset, which will improve performance. With 8GB of RAM, this new chip will make the iPhone 17’s performance faster and will also provide better energy efficiency. The standard iPhone 17 may feature the A19 chip and the Pro model may feature the A19 Pro chip for higher performance.

It is also being said that Apple is working on better thermal management for the iPhone 17 series, which includes a vapor chamber cooling system to prevent the device from overheating during gaming or video recording.

Major camera upgrades

The iPhone 17 may see upgrades in camera technology, especially at the front. Leaks suggest that Apple will offer a 24-megapixel front camera in the iPhone 17, while the current model has a 12-megapixel lens. That is, selfies taken with the iPhone 17 will be sharper. The iPhone 17 may feature a 48-megapixel main camera but it will not include 5x telephoto zoom, which is expected to be exclusive to the Pro model.

In addition, at least one iPhone 17 model is rumored to get a mechanical aperture, allowing users to adjust how much light enters the lens. The three-lens setup may be retained in the Pro model of the new series.

iPhone 17 battery and charging

Although no concrete information has been received about its battery capacity, the increased screen size in the new series suggests that the iPhone 17 may offer a larger battery than the iPhone 16 Pro. In terms of charging, the leak indicates that Apple is upgrading the iPhone 17 series to support 35W charging. That is, it will charge faster than the previous models.
