At present banks in India have a holiday every Sunday and every second and fourth week Saturday. After the change, now the first, third and fifth Saturdays of every month will be given to bank employees. Means, if the decision is taken, banks will work only for 5 days a week. Under this, bank employees will work for five days every week from Monday to Friday, while there will be two days off on Saturday and Sunday.
