This year, on the occasion of Dussehra, there will be holidays in banks across the country, which will fall on different dates according to the state.

Bank holidays on the occasion of Dussehra:

This year, on the occasion of Dussehra, banks will remain closed for 4 days in some states. Apart from this, in the month of October, banks will remain closed for a total of 15 days due to festivals and weekend holidays in the state. This includes all Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays.

List of bank holidays during Dussehra:

• October 10: Durga Puja/Dussehra (Mahasaptami) – Banks will be closed in Tripura, Assam, Nagaland, Bengal.
• October 11: Dussehra (Mahastami/Mahanavami)/Ayudha Puja – Banks will be closed in Tripura, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Meghalaya.
• October 12: Vijayadashami (Mahanavami/Vijayadashami) – Banks will be closed in all states, it is also the second Saturday of the month.
• October 13 : Sunday – Weekly holiday for all banks.
• October 14 : Dashain/Durga Puja – Banks will remain closed in Sikkim.
• Other Important Bank Holidays:
• October 16: Lakshmi Puja – Banks will remain closed in Tripura and Bengal.
• October 17: Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti/Kati Bihu – Banks will be closed in Karnataka, Assam and Himachal Pradesh.
• October 31 : Diwali (Deepawali)/Kali Puja – Banks will remain closed in most states.
