New Delhi. If you also feel the need to go to the bank in July, then before visiting your branch, know how many days there will be bank holidays in July this month. According to the list of holidays released by the Reserve Bank, there will be no work in the banks for a total of 14 days in July.

Reserve Bank issues a list of holidays in banks every calendar year. Many of these holidays are of national level, on occasions when banking services are closed across the country. At the same time, some developments are of local or regional level, on the occasion of which bank branches are closed in the respective states. The list of holidays is also different for different states.

There are three types of bank holidays

According to RBI, the list of holidays in banks is prepared on the basis of three types of holidays. The first is Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act, second is Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday and third is Banks’ Closing of Accounts holiday. On its various festivals and other occasions also, the work in banks is stopped.

When will the banks be closed in

  • July 1 July: Kang (Rathjatra) / Rath Yatra – Banks will remain closed in Bhubaneswar and Imphal.
  • 3 July: Sunday (weekly holiday).
  • July 7: Kharchi Puja – Banks will remain closed in Agartala.
  • July 9: Saturday (Second Saturday of the month), Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid)
  • July 10: Sunday (weekly holiday)
  • July 11: Ez-ul-Aza- Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar.
  • July 13: Bhanu Jayanti- Banks will remain closed in Gangtok.
  • July 14: Ben Dienkhlam – Banks will remain closed in Shillong.
  • July 16: Banks will remain closed in Harela- Dehradun.
  • 17 July: Sunday (weekly holiday)
  • 23 July: Saturday (fourth Saturday of the month)
  • 24 July: Sunday (weekly holiday)
  • 26 July: Ker Puja- Banks will remain closed in Agartala.
  • 31st July: Sunday (weekly holiday)
