Bank holidays in May : According to the holiday calendar schedule of the Reserve Bank of India, banks in India will remain closed for 14 days in May 2024. This includes Sunday and second and fourth Saturdays. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday list notes, banks will remain closed in some states on May 1, 2024 on the occasion of Maharashtra Day and Labor Day.

International Labor Day
International Workers’ Day, also known as May Day or Workers’ Day, is a celebration of workers sponsored by the International Labor Movement. Due to this occasion, banks will remain closed in Tamil Nadu, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Manipur, Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Bengal, Goa and Bihar.
