Reserve Bank of India fixes holidays in banks. The central bank prepares a list of holidays for each calendar year. It is important to know here that in the next month, November 2022, banks will be closed for 10 days across the country. Many of the holiday lists released by RBI are national. Banking services will remain closed across the country on that day. At the same time, some holidays are of local or regional level. On those days bank branches will remain closed only in the states connected with it.
Online services will continue
Online banking services remain operational in banks even on holidays. This benefits the customers a lot, because, nowadays, many banking works including online money transfer do not have to wait for the bank to open. But, there are still some such works, which are done only by visiting the bank branch. Hence, every bank customer should be aware of bank holidays.
