Punjab National Bank has issued an alert for the customers. The bank has warned about fake messages through which fraud is being done in the name of PNB.
PNB Customer Alert : These days the customers of Punjab National Bank are getting a fake message. Regarding which PNB has issued an alert. The bank issued an advisory saying that fake messages with the name “130th Anniversary Government Financial Subsidy of PNB” are being circulated on digital platforms, which need to be cautious. The bank has prohibited clicking on the link and sharing of such messages.
According to PNB, these messages are fake, through which scammers commit fraud. Sometimes these fraud messages can lead to financial scams by stealing your identity. Such messages, which are circulated through other social media like WhatsApp and other channels, have been advised by the bank to the customers to ignore them.
Bank urges customers not to disclose any personal/confidential/financial information through phone calls or emails. Also, do not click or download any suspicious link.
Along with the increase in digital banking and payments, cases of online fraud are also increasing. Regarding which the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) also often issues alerts. Cheating is done with the customers through different fake messages. Recently, around 40 customers of a private bank in Mumbai lost lakhs of rupees in 3 days. In the SMS, he was being asked to update his KIC and PAN. He was also threatened that if he did not do so, his account would be blocked.
