According to the issued notification, the teachers and non-teaching staff working in the university office, PG department and constituent colleges receiving salary under the 7th pay scale will now get 42 percent dearness allowance instead of 38 percent. This amount will be provided with the salary of May 2023. . Since DA has been implemented from January 1, 2023, arrears from January to April will also be available. The same pensioners will also get the benefit of 42 percent dearness relief instead of 38 percent.

DA also increased for sixth pay scale employees

Apart from this, the dearness allowance of the sixth pay scale was increased from 212 percent to 221 percent. The dearness allowance for the pensioners of this category has also been increased from 212 to 221 percent. This hike will be effective from January 2023. For this they will also be paid arrears.

Tell that recently the Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand has increased the dearness allowance of state employees and pensioners by 4 percent, after which the total DA has increased to 42 percent. This will benefit 19,3000 employees of the state. For this, the state government will have to spend an additional Rs 441 crore 52 lakh on salary payment.
