CNG Price Hike: This is the second setback to the people of Mumbai within a month. MGL had increased the prices on July 12. At that time the price of CNG was increased by Rs 6 per kg and that of PNG by Rs 3 per SCM.
The effect of the rise in the prices of natural gas is beginning to be seen. Due to this, the price of CNG and PNG has increased in Mumbai. This is the second increase in the country’s financial capital within a month. Mahanagar Gas Limited has increased the prices of CNG by Rs 6 per kg.
Prices increased after GAIL’s announcement
According to PTI, along with CNG, the prices of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) have also increased in Mumbai. Its price has been increased by Rs 4 per unit. Let us inform that GAIL has announced an increase of 18 percent in the prices of natural gas supplied to city gas companies. With this announcement, the prices of CNG and PNG have started increasing in the cities of the country.

This is the sixth hike
in the prices of CNG and PNG since April this year. Rising prices over the past several weeks have forced suppliers and dealers to cut industrial supplies. Earlier, on July 12, MGL had increased the prices. At that time the price of CNG was increased by Rs 6 per kg and that of PNG by Rs 3 per SCM.
Now the price has become so much in Mumbai
the statement of Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) said that due to the increase in gas cost, we have decided to compensate for the cost. In this sequence, the retail price of CNG has been increased to Rs 86 per kg. Whereas the price of domestic PNG has been increased by Rs 4 to Rs 52.50 per unit.
Earlier on Monday, Green Gas Limited in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, had increased the prices of CNG
by Rs 5.3 per kg. After this increase, the price of CNG in Lucknow has now gone up to 96.10 per kg. According to the report, while the price of CNG in Delhi has increased by 74 percent within a year, its price has increased by 62 percent in Mumbai.
