There is good news for SAIL employees. More than 55000 employees working in different units of SAIL have received bonus gifts. This decision has been taken in a meeting held in New Delhi late on Tuesday night. Under this, it has been agreed to give a bonus of Rs 40500 to the employees and Rs 33000 to the trainees. Bonus will be paid in the account of the employees on October 20. The first installment of Rs 31000 will be paid before Diwali and Rs 9500 in the second installment will be paid before March.
Employees will be paid Rs 28,000 as bonus and Rs 12,500 for performance. 40,500 will be paid among the employees. The amount will be paid in two instalments. Within 2-3 days, an amount of Rs 31,000 will be credited to the employees’ account. The balance amount will be paid before March 2023, SAIL management also told the union to formulate a bonus formula within two months. At present there are 50500 employees in SAIL and 14500 in BSP. 58.72 crore workers will get bonus in BSP. Of these, 40.60 crores before Diwali and the remaining 18.12 crores by March will be deposited in the accounts of the employees.
According to the information, the total payment of exgracia bonus to steel workers will be 40500 and for trainees this amount will be 33000. However the payment will be made in 2 instalments. 12500 with 28000 to SAIL employees will total 40500 extra. At present 25% of 12500 with 28000 will be paid as Rs 3125 i.e. Rs 31125 before Diwali. The remaining 75% amount will be paid before 31st March 2023. An announcement was made to give Rs 33000 to the trainees with Rs 26000 plus Rs 7000 extra. Out of this 25% of Rs.7000 will be given to Rs.1750 i.e. Rs.27750. The remaining Rs 5250 will be paid before March 2023.
