Earlier there was news that the arrears would be paid in three instalments, but after the written information given by the Central Government in the Rajya Sabha, all expectations were shattered. On Tuesday, the Finance Ministry has made it clear that 18 months’ outstanding arrears of 11 per cent dearness allowance will not be received. Three installments of DA were stopped during the Kovid-19 period, after which the government restored DA in July 2021, but did not take any decision on the arrears. Employees-pensioners angry, government saved 34000 crores

How much arrears are made?
According to Shivgopal Mishra of the National Council of JCM, the DA arrears of Level-1 employees could range from Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554.
Level-13 (7th CPC Basic Pay-Scale Rs.1,23,100 to Rs.2,15,900) will become arrears. Level-14 (Pay Scale) can be paid Rs.1,44,200 to Rs.2,18,200.
This will include Rs 4320 for January 2020, Rs 3240 for June 2020 and Rs 4320 for January 2021
