The deadline for submission of annual life certificate or life certificate for government pensioners has been extended till February 28, 2022. Earlier, the deadline for submission of life certificate was December 31, 2022.
The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare had announced the extension of the date of submission of Life Certificate to December 31, 2021. Let us tell you that in order to continue the pension , by November 30 every year, pensioners have to submit their Jeevan Pramaan to the bank or pension agency. But instead of 30 November, it was done on 31 December. After this, the date of December 31 has been extended to February 28, 2022.
The government has recently started Face Recognition Technology to make life easier for retired and elderly citizens. This will benefit about 68 lakh pensioners of the government and they will now be able to submit life certificate using only the mobile app.
Crores of pensioners will benefit
Union Minister of State Dr Jitendra Singh while launching this technology said that the Face Recognition Technology of giving life certificates is a historic and far-reaching improvement as it will not only affect the lives of 68 lakh pensioners of the Central Government but also the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). EPFO), state government pensioners will also benefit.
This facility is especially useful for those senior citizen pensioners who cannot submit their fingerprints as Biometric ID due to various reasons. Now they will be able to submit Digital Life Certificate through Face Recognition Service based on UIDAI Aadhar software.
The identity of the pensioner or family pensioner will be determined using face recognition technology. Presently, the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) is stored online and can be accessed by the pensioner and pension disbursing agency.
Requirements for Fed ID-
To use Face ID, the pensioner needs to have an Android smartphone, an internet connection, an Aadhaar number registered with the Pension Disbursing Authority and a camera resolution of 5 megapixels or more.
Submit life certificate like this from mobile app
First of all go to Google Store and download the Aadhar Face ID app. To download the Face application, visit https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/. Provide appropriate authorization. Complete the operator authentication and scan the operator’s face. Pensioners can also work as operators. The device is now ready for digital life certificate and pensioner authentication.
