Big Update Indian Railways: The new Vande Bharat train equipped with many new features has come on the tracks. After the trial on Chandigarh-Ludhiana section, its second trial will be done on Kota to Nagda section.
Vande Bharat New Version: The new version 2.0 of Vande Bharat Express, equipped with more facilities than before, has come on track. The new Vande Bharat has left for the trials from Chennai Integral Coach Factory (ICF Chennai). Its trial will be done on Chandigarh-Ludhiana section of Ambala Railway Division. The team of Research Design Standard Organization will focus on the convenience and safety of the passengers in the trial of the train on this section.
Trial will be done at the speed of 180 kmph.
Currently, two Vande Bharat trains are running between Delhi to Katra and Delhi to Varanasi in the country. This will be the third Vande Bharat train, which will be quite different from the earlier Vande Bharat in terms of features. After Chandigarh-Ludhiana section, the train will be trialed on the section from Kota (Rajasthan) to Nagda (Madhya Pradesh) at a speed of 180 kmph. The central government plans to connect 75 cities with the semi-high speed train Vande Bharat by August 2023.
75 new Vande Bharat will come in the next one year
PM Modi had announced to run 75 new Vande Bharat trains on 15 August 2021 in view of the convenience of crores of railway passengers. During this, the PM had said that by August 15, 2023, 75 trains of Vande Bharat will start running on the tracks. This is the first and the third Vande Bharat train of the country in the same episode. Let us tell you that ICF Chennai has the capacity to prepare 6 to 7 Vande Bharat trains every month. Now work is being done to increase this capacity to 10.
Facilities available in the new Vande Bharat
- This time the reclining seat of the passengers is equipped with pushback. This will allow the
- seat to be moved back and forth and it will be comfortable on long routes.
- Alarm will sound when any passenger smokes in the train.
- Four mics and switches have been installed in each coach to talk to the loco pilot in emergency.
- Pushbutton has been given to stop the train.
- The entire train can be monitored with two coaches.
- If the power of the train fails, the light will remain on for three hours.
- Train coaches will be in bacteria free air conditioning.
- Passenger Information System has been installed in the coach.
- There is a fire survival cable in the doors and windows. Doors and windows can be easily opened in case of fire.
After two to three successful trials, the new Vande Bharat will be given the green signal for the commercial route. Passengers are very happy before the next consignment of Vande Bharat runs on the tracks. It is also reported that in the coming days, the government is preparing to replace Rajdhani Express and Duronto Express with Vande Bharat train.
