These meetings will be held virtually. The Finance Ministry tweeted and informed that the Finance Minister will start discussions on the upcoming budget digitally with various stakeholder groups in New Delhi from December 15, 2021

The tweet said that Sitharaman will hold discussions with various stakeholders, including industry associations, farmers’ organizations and economists, on measures to revive consumption and boost economic growth affected by the pandemic. The economic growth rate is expected to be more than 10 percent in 2021-22.
The general budget is expected to be presented on February 1, 2022. In the upcoming budget, the government’s emphasis will be on increasing demand, creating jobs and taking the growth rate of the economy to 8 percent.
Finance Minister Sitharaman told Parliament on Tuesday that the central government earned more than Rs 3.71 lakh crore from taxes on petrol and diesel in the financial year 2020-21 alone.
