Konkan Board of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority ( MHADA ) has announced a lottery scheme for 5,311 affordable houses. These houses are located in the satellite towns of Thane, Palghar and Raigarh near Mumbai.
The prices of these houses range between Rs 9 to 49 lakh. Of these, 1,000 houses are being sold under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana ( PMAY ). The Central Government has fixed the limit of family income to avail the benefit of this scheme under Economically Weaker Section (EWS). This range is between Rs 3 to 6 lakh. MHADA hopes that more people can give applications in this category.

Their carpet area is between 258-667 square feet. The cheapest apartment in this is priced at Rs 9.89 lakh, whose area will be 258 square feet. The most expensive apartment is priced at Rs 49.81 lakh, whose area is 667 square feet. It is in Virar. Construction work is currently going on on many apartments under this scheme.

The registration process in this scheme of affordable houses is completely online. For this you have to go to https://housing.mhada.gov.in/. MHADA has a second scheme in 2023. MHADA’s Pune Board has also announced the scheme of 5,863 affordable houses.
These houses are in Pune, Solapur, Sangli and Kolhapur. The prices of houses under this scheme range between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 1.11 crore. Of these 5,863 affordable homes, 2,445 are being sold on a first-come, first-served basis. The last date to apply for this scheme is 27th September.

1RK, 1BHK, 2BHK and 3BHK apartments are available under this scheme. The smallest apartment has 204 square feet carpet area. The largest apartment is 1,087 square feet. The cheapest apartment is in Kagal, which is in Kolhapur district. Its price is Rs 5 lakh. Its carpet area is 312 square feet.
