He participated in Operation Parakram 2001-2002. Regarding the role of women in the battlefield, she says that the separate arrangements are said that only separate tents can be arranged for women. Men of course have more physical strength, but women can pick up arms and do better. On this Wednesday, Captain Sharma was honored on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of his college MCM DAV College, Chandigarh. She was a student of science in this college in 1995. Many of his colleagues became IAS. She herself wanted to become a surgeon, but her steps turned to the army. Sharma received a commission in the Army’s Ordinance Corps and made his first jump in 1997 as a paratrooper. He is married to an army officer and has a 16-year-old daughter, Varija, who wants to become a bureaucrat.
