Car Sales May 2023: Maruti Suzuki India continues to sell well and 7 of the top 10 best selling cars have been from Maruti Suzuki alone. While one car belonged to Hyundai and two cars belonged to Tata Motors.

Best Selling Car: Domestic sales of a total of 334,800 units have been recorded in the passenger vehicle (PV) segment in the month of May. Maruti Suzuki India continues to sell well and 7 of the top 10 best selling cars have been from Maruti Suzuki alone. While one car belonged to Hyundai and two cars belonged to Tata Motors. Maruti Suzuki Baleno was the best-selling model, while the company’s Swift, WagonR, Brezza, Eeco, Dzire and Ertiga made it to the top 10 list in May. Along with this, Hyundai’s Creta, Tata’s Nexon and Punch have also been included in the list.

Best Selling Cars:

Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been the best selling car of the country in the last month. It has sold 18,700 units in May. Maruti WagonR was number one a month ago, which has reached the third position this time. Maruti Swift has been on the second position in the list, which has sold 17,300 units and WagonR is on the third number, which has sold 16,300 units.

Best Selling SUVs:

This time Hyundai Creta has been the best selling SUV in the country and it has sold 14,449 units last month. It has been at number four in the top 10 list and is followed by Nexon (14,423 units) and then Maruti Brezza (13,398 units).

Best 7 Seater Car:

Maruti Eeco has been the best selling 7 seater car in the country. It has been ranked seventh with 12,800 units. It is followed by the Dzire at the eighth position with 11,300 units sold. Tata Punch has been on the ninth position and Maruti Ertiga has been on the tenth position, which sold 11,100 units and 10,500 units respectively.
