On one hand, the state government has announced an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) for its 6th-7th pay commission employees. At the same time, the Chief Minister (CM) has given a big gift to the employees. Actually now they will be paid the bonus before Diwali. The state government will spend Rs 500 crore for bonus payment of 6 lakh employees.
With this decision of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, more than six lakh government employees of Rajasthan will get the benefit of bonus. The amount received as bonus will be given to the rest of the state employees except the gazetted officer. Bonus will also be paid to the work affected employees including Panchayat Samiti, Zilla Panchayat employees. Apart from this, the benefit of bonus will also be given to the officer employees who are taking salary of level 12 or below grade pay 4800 in the Pay Matrix Level 12 of Rajasthan Civil Services Rules 2017.
A maximum of 6774 will be paid to every employee as bonus. In which 75% amount will be sent to their account while 25% amount will be paid in their GPF account. Here the state government will have an additional financial burden of Rs 500 crore for making bonus payments to the employees.
Bonus for employees Bonus is calculated based on their maximum 7000 or 30 days month. The bonus would have been made available to the employees for a period of 30 days. Earlier last year also, bonus was paid by the Rajasthan government to its employees on Diwali. During that time also 6774 bonuses were given to other employees except the officers of Category I. However, then fifty percent of the cash amount was made available to him in the GPF account.
Earlier, 4% increase in Dearness Allowance of its employees was announced by the Rajasthan government. After which their dearness allowance has increased to 38%. At the same time, dearness allowance is being paid to the employees of Rajasthan on the same lines as the Centre.
