CNG-PNG New Rates : Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) on Monday announced reduction in the prices of CNG and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) in Mumbai and surrounding municipalities. The price of CNG has been reduced by ₹3 per kg, while the price of PNG has been reduced by ₹2 per standard cubic meter (scm).
“MGL is pleased to announce reduction in CNG price by ₹3 per kg and Domestic PNG (DPNG) price by ₹2 per scm in and around Mumbai,” the MGL statement said.
New rates of CNG and PNG in Mumbai
Effective from today, the revised MRP for CNG will be ₹76.00 per kg and for domestic PNG, it will be ₹47.00 per scm.
How did the prices of CNG and PNG come down?
MGL said it welcomes the cut in the price of domestically produced high pressure high temperature (HPHT) natural gas by the Centre. ‘For the six-month period beginning October 1, the price of gas from deep sea and high pressure,
high temperature (HPTP) fields stood at US$12.12,’ the oil ministry’s Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) reported. Has been reduced to 9.96 US dollars per million British thermal units (mmBtu)
