New Delhi The Ministry of Civil Aviation said on Wednesday that an employee of the ministry present in the office on April 15 was found to be Corona positive. It was told that all the associates coming in contact with the employee have been asked to go into isolation themselves as a precaution. The ministry said on Twitter, “An employee of the ministry arrived at the office on April 15, 2020, which has been found to be COVID-19 positive on April 21 after the test. All necessary protocols are being followed strictly. ‘
It was told that taking precaution, the entire office has been closed by the Delhi government. They are taking appropriate steps as per prescribed protocols for contact tracing and risk profiling.
Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said in a tweet, ‘We stand with our colleague in the Ministry of Civil Aviation who has been found to be infected with COVID-19. … and we will do all we can to help. ‘ He said that those in contact have also been asked to follow the prescribed procedures. I wish him well and speedy recovery. Let me tell you that even before this, many officers have self-isolated themselves. Corona cases are increasing steadily in the country. Now the total number of infected have reached close to 20 thousand.
According to new data released by the Ministry of Health, so far 19,984 cases of corona virus (COVID-19) have been reported in India. 15,474 people are under treatment. 3870 people have recovered. 640 people have died. There have been 50 deaths and 1383 new cases in the last 24 hours. The number of patients in Maharashtra has crossed 5000. Apart from this, more than 2100 cases have been reported in Delhi and Gujarat.
