DA hike to increased salary: More than 1 crore central government employees and pensioners are waiting for the increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief to be implemented from the month of July. DA hike is estimated to be 3%.
The Central Government is soon going to give good news to the central employees and pensioners by increasing the Dearness Allowance i.e. DA. Due to increase in dearness allowance, the salary of employees will increase. Along with this, they will also get arrears of many rupees. In this context, there is a possibility of employees getting a huge lump sum amount. Let us tell you that more than 1 crore central government employees and pensioners will get the benefit of increase in dearness allowance.
DA increase announcement possible this month
The central government can announce the increase in dearness allowance i.e. DA by the end of September. The DA increase which is currently applicable was made effective from 1 January 2023 and its increase was announced on 24 March 2023. At the same time, the announcement of increase in dearness allowance to be implemented from July 2022 last year was made on 28 September 2022. In this context, it is being estimated that the government may announce the dearness allowance to be implemented from July 2023 by the end of September 2023.
Estimated increase in dearness allowance by 3%
Shiv Gopal Mishra, general secretary of All India Railway Men’s Federation, told PTI that the increase in dearness allowance will be up to three percent. After increasing DA by 3 percent, total DA will become 45%. At present, central government employees and pensioners get 42 percent dearness allowance.
How much will the salary increase if dearness allowance increases?
Understand for example, if a central government employee gets a basic salary of Rs 36,500 per month, then according to 42% DA on basic salary, it comes to Rs 15,330 per month. If DA increases by 3% from July 2023, then the increased DA amount of the employees will be Rs 1,095. Now if we do Rs 15,330+1,095 then the total DA amount will become Rs 16,425. In this way the increase in monthly salary will be Rs 1,095.
3 months DA arrears will also be included in salary
Dearness Allowance i.e. DA increase is to happen from July 2023. But, more than half of the month of September has passed. If the announcement is made by the end of September, then the employees will get 3 months’ increased DA in the form of arrears, which will be Rs 1,095 per month for an employee with a basic salary of Rs 36,500. In such a situation, the arrears of 3 months will also be Rs 3,285 along with the salary.
