Employees will get the benefit of increased dearness allowance. Orders have been issued for this. The state government has also revised the DA for all full-time/casual employees, whose remuneration has been revised from Rs 3,850 to Rs 6,700 per month, as per the revised pay scales, 2010, with effect from January 1, 2022.

Telangana government has given good news for its state employees and pensioners. According to the minister, the decision to increase the dearness allowance has been taken by Chief Minister KCR. They will be paid 2.73% dearness allowance on the basic pay and pension of the employees. Official orders have been issued by the Finance Department to implement the hike with effect from June with the calculation of the increased amount from January 2022.

Additional burden of Rs 974.16 crore

With this increase, the government will have an additional burden of Rs 974.16 crore annually. Along with this, Rs 81.18 crore will be spent monthly. Order number GO 50 and order number GOA MF 51 to increase dearness relief have been issued by the state government on Monday for revision of dearness allowance of employees.

Issued orders

Under the issued order, effective from January 1, 2022, dearness allowance of government employees has been revised from 20.02 percent of basic pay to 22.75 percent of basic pay. At the same time, dearness allowance has been increased from 55.53% to 59.19% for the employees drawing salary in 2015. This will be effective from 1 January 2022.

On the other hand, on July 1, 2023, along with the salary of June 2023, the increased dearness allowance will be payable. Separate orders will be issued regarding payment of dues from January 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023.

Their dearness allowance was increased by three percent.

The rate of DA has been revised from existing 31 per cent to 34 per cent on basic pay with effect from January 1, 2022, for all employees drawing UGC/AICTE/SNJPC pay scales, 2016. This is for the personnel who are teaching staff of Universities, Government Aided and Allied Degree Colleges, Medical Colleges who were drawing UGC pay scale and teaching staff of Polytechnics, AICTE pay scale and Judicial Officers drawing SNJPC pay scale, eligible for 2016. Their dearness allowance has been increased by three percent.

Their dearness allowance was increased by seven percent.

The rate of Dearness Allowance for employees drawing UGC/AICTE/FNJPC pay scales, 2006 has also been revised from 196 per cent to 203 per cent of basic pay with effect from January 1, 2022. Their dearness allowance has been increased by seven percent.

Dearness relief for pensioners was also increased

Government employees will get huge benefit from this increase. Along with this, a big increase in their salary will be seen. At the same rate, dearness relief for pensioners has also been increased. The pensioners of the state will get the benefit of dearness relief.
