The Rajasthan government has made a big announcement for eight and a half lakh government employees and 4.40 lakh pensioners of the state. After the central government, now the state government has also increased the dearness allowance of employees and pensioners by four percent. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot himself has announced this by tweeting. The increased rate of dearness allowance will be applicable from January 1, 2023.

CM Ashok Gehlot tweeted and wrote, ‘According to the central employees, a 4 percent increase in the dearness allowance of the state employees has been approved. Now, from January 1, 2023, 42% dearness allowance will be payable to state employees and pensioners instead of 38%. To give strength to the employees, the state government will bear about 1640 crore rupees annually. Apart from state employees and pensioners, the benefit of increased dearness allowance will also be payable to Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad employees.
केंद्रीय कर्मचारियों के अनुरूप राज्य कर्मचारियों के महंगाई भत्ते में 4% की बढ़ोतरी को मंजूरी दी है। अब राज्य कर्मचारियों व पेंशनर्स को 1 जनवरी 2023 से 38% के स्थान पर 42% महंगाई भत्ता देय होगा। कर्मचारियों को संबल देने के लिए राज्य सरकार सालाना करीब 1640 करोड़ रूपए वहन करेगी।

Dearness allowance was also increased in October 2022
Earlier on October 30, the Ashok Gehlot government had announced to increase the dearness allowance by four percent. After this the dearness allowance was increased to 38 per cent. Significantly, after every six months, the central and state governments increase the dearness allowance of their employees. Let us tell you that Ashok Gehlot’s government had made several announcements for the government employees of the state for some time. In the year 2022, the Ashok Gehlot government had restored the old pension scheme.
Earlier on Friday, in the cabinet meeting, the central government had decided to increase the dearness allowance of central employees by four percent. Dearness allowance has now increased to a total of 42 per cent. The increased rates will be applicable from January 2023 and payment along with arrears will be made from March salary.
