A big announcement has been made by the Haryana government for the employees and pensioners. The government has increased Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) by 9 percent in one go. In the notification issued by the Finance Department, DA and DR have been increased from 212 per cent to 221 per cent. Seventh Pay Commission is applicable for government employees in Haryana. However, some state employees are still getting salary under the 6th Pay Commission. This decision will be applicable to the employees getting salary as per the Sixth Pay Commission.
You will get the benefit of increased DA and DR from January
According to the information given in the notification, the benefit of increased DA will be given to employees and pensioners from January 1. That is, along with the salary and pension of June coming in July, the employees will also be given arrears of 5 months. Let us tell you that the Seventh Pay Commission is applicable for government employees in Haryana. At the same time, some state employees are still getting salary under the Sixth Pay Commission. This decision will be applicable to the employees getting salary as per the Sixth Pay Commission.
2.85 lakh employees of Haryana benefited
Earlier in the month of May, the state government had announced a 4 per cent hike in DA and DR under the Seventh Pay Commission. After this announcement, according to the Seventh Pay Commission, the DA of salary earners has increased to 42 percent. The government had given this benefit to the employees from the month of January. Along with this announcement, the salary of 2 lakh 85 thousand employees has been increased. At the same time, 2 lakh 65 thousand pensioners have also benefited from this.
