So far, the state governments of Rajasthan, Goa and Assam have increased the DA of the employees to 42 per cent, while preparations are on to increase the dearness allowance in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. It is reported that the state governments have also started preparations for this. There is a possibility that it can be announced by the end of April.

DA will increase soon in Uttar Pradesh

After the Centre, now 19 lakh employees and pensioners of Uttar Pradesh can get a big gift in April. According to the media reports, the Yogi government of UP is preparing to increase the dearness allowance of the employees once again by 4%, after which the total DA will be 42%.

For this, the Finance Department has started preparations, soon its proposal will be prepared and sent to the CM and it will be implemented as soon as the approval is received from here. This decision of the state government will increase the burden of 200 crores. The decision to send the same arrears to GPF is yet to be made, so the DA hike is set to be announced in April.

Proposal may come in the next cabinet

Apart from Uttar Pradesh, the Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand is also preparing to increase DA. If media reports are to be believed, the Finance Department has also prepared a proposal regarding the DA hike, which will be placed in the next cabinet meeting. Earlier in October last year, the state government had increased DA by 4%. At present, the government employees and pensioners of Jharkhand are getting the benefit of 38 per cent DA, which is applicable from July 2022.

The next increase is to be for 2023, if there is another 4% increase for 2023, it will reach 42% at par with the Center, which will benefit 1.35 lakh employees and pensioners. This will increase the salary of employees from Rs 500 to Rs 9500. may increase. There will also be an increase in the pension of pensioners and family pensioners. However, official confirmation is yet to be made.

Uttarakhand Council demands to increase DA

Dearness allowance can be increased soon in Uttarakhand as well. Since recently, the State Employees Joint Council had met the Additional Chief Secretary in the Secretariat regarding increasing the DA of the personnel from 38% to 42% like the Central employees.

After this, he also met Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) Anandvardhan, after which the Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) directed the officials of the Finance Department to submit the file immediately for increasing the dearness allowance. There is a possibility that the DA of state employees may also be increased soon.

Soon you can get the benefit of 42 percent DA

It is worth noting that in November last year, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami had increased the DA of employees and pensioners of more than 2.5 lakh government, aided and technical educational institutions and urban bodies by 4%, after which the DA of the employees increased from 34 to 38%. happened. It was implemented on July 1 and arrears were also given to the employees.

In November, salary was sent to the account of the employees along with the increased DA. There is a possibility that once again DA can be increased by 4%, CM can take a decision on this soon. After the increase, the total DA will be 42%, if it is implemented from January, then 3 months arrears will also be given. This will benefit more than 2 lakh employees of the state.
