The June AICPI Index numbers have been released by the Labor Ministry, with an increase of 1.7 points, the June index has reached 136.4 points and the DA score has reached 46.24 per cent, in such a situation, a 4 per cent increase in the dearness allowance of the central employees is now expected. After which the total DA will be 46%. There is a possibility that the Modi government at the Center may announce new rates of dearness allowance in September-October. However, it has not been confirmed yet.
Actually, the DA of central employees is increased twice a year in January and July, the amount of increase in DA depends on the data of AICPI index released by Labor Department, which is released every month. But the data for DA is reviewed every 6 months and on the basis of this, the first increase is in the month of January and the second in the month of July. New rates will be applicable from July, arrears will also be available
Currently the DA of central employees is 42%, which is applicable from January to June 2023. Next DA is to be applicable for July to December 2023. This will be the second hike of the year. It is expected that there will be a 4 per cent increase in DA in July, after which the DA of the employees will increase to 46 per cent. It will be implemented from July 1, 2023, in which case arrears will also be available.
This will benefit 1 crore employee-pensioners. There is a possibility that the new rates of DA can be announced anytime between Raksha Bandhan and Diwali. Earlier in March 2023, DA was increased to 42 percent.
The increase in DA and DR is decided by the Central Government on the basis of All India CPI-IW data. Dearness allowance is given to government employees, while dearness relief is given to pensioners.
How much salary will increase
- For example, if the basic salary of a government employee is Rs 18000, then on this he gets 42% ie Rs 7560 DA and when it is 46%, it will be Rs 8280 per month, according to this the salary will increase by Rs 720 every month. .
- If someone’s salary is Rs 56,900, then he will get Rs 2,276 every month and Rs 27,312 annually. If someone gets a basic pension of Rs 30,000 a month, then he gets Rs 44,400 as dearness relief.
- After the 4% DR hike, this money will increase to Rs 42,600, which means the pension will increase by Rs 800 every month.
- According to official figures, there are currently 47.58 lakh central employees and 69.76 lakh pensioners. These employees and pensioners will be benefited after the DA hike.
