DA will increase again

At present, the benefit of 42% dearness allowance is being given to the central employees. After the increase in dearness allowance from July, once again the dearness allowance can reach up to 46%. An announcement for this can be made in October. Earlier the increased rates have been implemented from January 1, 2023. At the same time, there are again speculations of increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief. Its profit will start from 63 lakh including 50 lakh employees.

DA will be increased twice a year

Actually dearness allowance and dearness relief are increased twice a year. DA-Dearness Relief is hiked for employees and pensioners on half yearly basis. Dearness Allowance for 2023 has been increased in January. For this, the government decides the DA hike on the basis of AICPI data.

In such a situation, it is being estimated that this time an increase of 4 percent can be seen in the dearness allowance of the employees. A press release was issued by the Labor Bureau. In which a decrease of 0.1 points was seen in the AICPI figure for the month of February. With which it had come down to 132.7 points.

In January this figure stood at 132.8. In such a situation, it is believed that the AICPI will increase once again in March. Along with this, there is a definite increase of 3 to 4 percent in BA for the employees and pensioners in the month of July.

Salary will increase so much

With the DA being 46% for the central employees, a big increase in their salary will also be seen. For example, if the basic pay of the employees is Rs 18000, they are getting the benefit of dearness allowance at the rate of 42%, then they are getting Rs 7560 as dearness allowance. After the same increase in DA, if it is 46%, then the DA for the employees will increase to Rs.8280. Employees will get an increase of Rs 720 per month.

New update on arrears for 18 months

At present, the matter of arrears for the employees has gone in cold storage for 18 months. The employees are constantly demanding DA arrears of the compassionate period. At the same time, according to media reports, employees may have to wait a long time for arrears of 18 months. Earlier it was clarified by the government that the employees will not be given the benefit of arrears of withheld dearness allowance.

According to the information, during the Corona epidemic, the government had benefited Rs 34402.32 crore from the withheld dearness allowance of the employees. The same 48 lakh employees and 68 lakh pensioners are demanding payment of arrear installment of DA. At present, no consensus has been reached on DA arrears, but it is believed that the government may take a big decision on this soon before the Lok Sabha elections.

Earlier, with the onset of the Corona epidemic, three installments of the employees were banned by the government. Which was resumed in the month of June 2021. On the other hand, along with getting the amount of dearness allowance area, level 13 officers can get benefits ranging from ₹ 123000 to ₹ 215000. For level 14 employees can be given benefits ranging from Rs 144200 to Rs 218200. However, at present no clarification has been given by the government on this. Employees will have to wait for the arrears now.
